ചെറുവത്തൂർ മലബാർ ലോഡ്ജ് കേന്ദ്രികരിച്ച് വേശ്യാലയം ; ചന്തേര പോലീസ് കേസ് എടുത്തു

ചന്തേര: ചെറുവത്തൂർ മലബാർ ലോഡ്ജ് കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച് അസാന്മാർഗിക പ്രവർത്തനം നടത്തിയ സംഘത്തെ ചന്തേര പോലീസ് പിടികൂടി. കാഞ്ഞങ്ങാട് ഡിവൈഎസ്‌പി സുരേഷ് ബാബുവിന്റെ നിർദ്ദേശപ്രകാരം ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ പ്രശാന്ത് കെ.യുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ എ.എസ്.ഐ ലീനയും സിവിൽ പോലീസ് ഓഫീസർമാരായ ശരണ്യ, സുരേഷ് എന്നിവരും അടങ്ങിയ സംഘമാണ് പരിശോധനയും അറസ്റ്റ് നടപടികളും നിർവഹിച്ചത്.

സാമ്പത്തിക ലാഭത്തിനായി യുവതികളെ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് അസാന്മാർഗിക പ്രവർത്തനം നടത്തി വരികയായിരുന്നു ലോഡ്ജ് ഉടമ മുഹമ്മദ് അസൈനാറും ലോഡ്ജ് ജീവനക്കാരി നസീമ (മുള്ളേരിയ)യും. കൂടാതെ നാല് സ്ത്രീകളും രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാരും ലോഡ്ജിൽ നിന്നും പിടിയിലായി.

ഇവർക്കെതിരെ ചന്തേര പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ Cr. No. 923/25 U/s 3 of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act (ITPA) പ്രകാരം കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തു.

നിയമപ്രകാരം, വേശ്യാലയം സൂക്ഷിക്കുകയോ, കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുകയോ, സഹായിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്ന ഏതൊരു വ്യക്തിക്കും ആദ്യ കുറ്റത്തിന് ഒരു വർഷം മുതൽ മൂന്ന് വർഷം വരെ കഠിന തടവും, കൂടാതെ രണ്ടായിരം രൂപ വരെ പിഴയും ലഭിക്കും. രണ്ടാമത്തെ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ തുടർന്നുള്ള കുറ്റങ്ങൾക്ക് രണ്ട് വർഷം മുതൽ അഞ്ച് വർഷം വരെ തടവും പിഴയും ലഭിക്കും.

പ്രദേശത്ത് വാടകയ്ക്കോ ചുമതലയോടെയോ കൈവശമുള്ള ഏതെങ്കിലും സ്ഥലത്തെ വേശ്യാലയമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ അനുവദിക്കുന്നതും, ആ ഉപയോഗം മനഃപൂർവം അനുവദിക്കുന്ന ഉടമസ്ഥരും ഏജന്റുമാരും നിയമപ്രകാരം ഉത്തരവാദികളാണ്.

സംഭവവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് വിശദമായ അന്വേഷണം തുടരുന്നതായി പോലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു.

English Summary

A prostitution racket operating out of Malabar Lodge in Cheruvathur was busted by the Chantera Police. Acting on the instructions of Kanhangad DySP Suresh Babu, a police team led by Inspector Prashanth K., along with ASI Leena and civil police officers Sharanya and Suresh, conducted the raid and arrested the accused.

The lodge owner, Muhammad Asainar, and staff member Naseema from Mulleria were found operating the illegal activities using young women for financial gain. Four women and two men present at the lodge were also taken into custody.

A case has been registered at Chantera Police Station under Cr. No. 923/25 U/s 3 of the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act (ITPA).
Under the Act, running or assisting in operating a brothel can result in 1–3 years of imprisonment and a fine up to ₹2,000 for a first offense, and 2–5 years of imprisonment for repeated offenses. Property owners or caretakers who knowingly allow their premises to be used for such activities are also legally liable.

Police have begun a detailed investigation into the incident.
