ചിത്രദുർഗ: പുലർച്ചെയുണ്ടായ കനത്ത മൂടൽമഞ്ഞിൽ നിയന്ത്രണം വിട്ട കണ്ടെയ്‌നർ ലോറി ബസിലേക്ക് ഇടിച്ചുകയറി 11 പേർ മരിച്ചു. കർണാടകയിലെ ചിത്രദുർഗയ്ക്ക് സമീപം ദേശീയപാത 48-ൽ വ്യാഴാഴ്ച പുലർച്ചെയായിരുന്നു നാടിനെ നടുക്കിയ ദുരന്തം. ബെംഗളൂരുവിൽ നിന്ന് ശിവമോഗയിലേക്ക് പോവുകയായിരുന്ന സ്വകാര്യ ബസിലേക്കാണ് ലോറി പാഞ്ഞുകയറിയത്. ഇടിയുടെ ആഘാതത്തിൽ നിമിഷങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളിൽ ബസിന് തീപിടിച്ചതാണ് മരണസംഖ്യ ഉയരാൻ കാരണമായത്.

യാത്രക്കാരെല്ലാം ആഴത്തിലുള്ള ഉറക്കത്തിലായിരുന്ന സമയത്താണ് അപകടം സംഭവിച്ചത്. ഹിരിയൂരിൽ നിന്ന് ബെംഗളൂരുവിലേക്ക് പോകുകയായിരുന്ന ലോറി, റോഡിന് നടുവിലെ ഡിവൈഡർ തകർത്ത് എതിർവശത്തെ റോഡിലൂടെ വരികയായിരുന്ന ബസിലേക്ക് ഇടിച്ചുകയറുകയായിരുന്നു. ലോറി ഡ്രൈവറും ക്ലീനറും സംഭവസ്ഥലത്ത് തന്നെ മരിച്ചു. ബസ് പൂർണ്ണമായും കത്തിയമർന്നു. മരിച്ചവരിൽ പലരെയും തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ കഴിയാത്ത വിധം കത്തിക്കരിഞ്ഞ നിലയിലാണ്.

അപകടം നടന്ന ഉടനെ ബസിനുള്ളിൽ തീ പടർന്നത് രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തനത്തെ സങ്കീർണ്ണമാക്കി. ബസിനുള്ളിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയവർക്ക് പുറത്തിറങ്ങാൻ പോലും സാധിച്ചില്ല. നാട്ടുകാരും പോലീസും ചേർന്ന് ഉടൻ തന്നെ രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ചെങ്കിലും ആളിപ്പടർന്ന അഗ്നി തടസ്സമായി. ബസിൽ സ്ത്രീകളും കുട്ടികളുമടക്കം 32 യാത്രക്കാരാണ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്.

അപകടത്തിൽ പരിക്കേറ്റവരെ ഉടൻ തന്നെ ചിത്രദുർഗയിലെ ജില്ലാ ആശുപത്രിയിലും ഹിരിയൂരിലെ ആശുപത്രികളിലും പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇതിൽ പലരുടെയും നില അതീവ ഗുരുതരമായി തുടരുകയാണ്. ലോറി ഡ്രൈവർ ഉറങ്ങിപ്പോയതോ അമിതവേഗതയോ ആകാം അപകടത്തിന് കാരണമെന്നാണ് പോലീസിന്റെ പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമനം. ചിത്രദുർഗ എസ്.പി രഞ്ജിത്ത് സംഭവസ്ഥലം സന്ദർശിച്ച് സ്ഥിതിഗതികൾ വിലയിരുത്തി.

മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇൻക്വസ്റ്റ് നടപടികൾ പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്. മൃതദേഹങ്ങൾ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നതിനായി ഡി.എൻ.എ പരിശോധന ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള നടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിക്കുമെന്ന് അധികൃതർ അറിയിച്ചു.
