ബെംഗളൂരു: വീടിന്റെ മുന്നിലെ റോഡിൽ കൂട്ടുകാർക്കൊപ്പം കളിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന അഞ്ചുവയസ്സുകാരനെ യാതൊരു പ്രകോപനവുമില്ലാതെ ക്രൂരമായി ചവിട്ടിവീഴ്ത്തിയ സംഭവത്തിൽ മുൻ ജിം പരിശീലകൻ അറസ്റ്റിലായി. ബെംഗളൂരു ത്യാഗരാജനഗർ സ്വദേശിയായ രഞ്ജിത്ത് (രഞ്ജൻ) ആണ് പോലീസിന്റെ പിടിയിലായത്. നഗരത്തിന്റെ മനസ്സാക്ഷിയെ നടുക്കിയ ഈ അക്രമത്തിന്റെ സിസിടിവി ദൃശ്യങ്ങൾ പുറത്തുവന്നതോടെ പ്രതിക്കെതിരെ ശക്തമായ പ്രതിഷേധമാണ് ഉയരുന്നത്.

കഴിഞ്ഞ ഡിസംബർ 14ന് ത്യാഗരാജനഗറിലായിരുന്നു സംഭവം. മുത്തശ്ശിയുടെ വീടിന് മുന്നിലെ റോഡിൽ മറ്റ് കുട്ടികളോടൊപ്പം കളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു നീവ് ജെയിൻ എന്ന അഞ്ചുവയസ്സുകാരൻ. സമീപത്ത് നിൽക്കുകയായിരുന്ന രഞ്ജിത്ത് പെട്ടെന്നു ഓടിയെത്തി, ഒരു ഫുട്ബോളിനെ തൊഴിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ കുട്ടിയെ ശക്തമായി ചവിട്ടിവീഴ്ത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. സിസിടിവിയിൽ ബാലൻ തെറിച്ചുവീണു ചോരയൊലിപ്പിച്ചു കരയുന്നതും, സംഭവം കണ്ട് ഭയന്ന നാട്ടുകാർ ഓടിയെത്തുന്നതും വ്യക്തമാണ്.

കുട്ടിയുടെ അമ്മ ദീപിക ജെയിൻ നൽകിയ പരാതിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് പോലീസ് കേസെടുത്തത്. ആക്രമണത്തിൽ കുട്ടിയുടെ പുരികത്തിന് മുകളിൽ ആഴത്തിലുള്ള മുറിവുണ്ടാകുകയും രക്തസ്രാവം സംഭവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. കൈകാലുകൾക്കും പരിക്കേറ്റ ബാലനെ ഉടൻ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിച്ച് ചികിത്സ നൽകി. നിലവിൽ കുട്ടി അപകടനില തരണം ചെയ്തതായി ബന്ധുക്കൾ അറിയിച്ചു.

ഒരു കാലത്ത് ജിം പരിശീലകനായി ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്ന ഒരാളിൽ നിന്നുണ്ടായ ഈ അക്രമം നാട്ടുകാരെ നടുക്കിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. കുട്ടികൾക്ക് നേരെയുള്ള അതിക്രമങ്ങൾ ഒരിക്കലും അംഗീകരിക്കാനാവില്ലെന്നും, സിസിടിവി ദൃശ്യങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള വ്യക്തമായ തെളിവുകളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ പ്രതിക്കെതിരെ കർശന നിയമനടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിക്കുമെന്നും പോലീസ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
