കാസർകോട്: പ്രായപൂർത്തിയാകാത്ത പെൺകുട്ടിയെ ക്രൂരമായ ലൈംഗിക പീഡനത്തിന് ഇരയാക്കിയ ശേഷം മൂന്ന് വർഷത്തോളം നിയമത്തെ വെല്ലുവിളിച്ച് ഒളിവിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്ന കൊടുംകുറ്റവാളിയുടെ ഒളിവുജീവിതത്തിന് ഒടുവിൽ വിരാമം. നെല്ലിക്കുന്ന് കടപ്പുറം സ്വദേശി രതീഷ് (42) എന്നയാളെയാണ് കാസർകോട് വനിതാ പോലീസ് മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലയിലെ കുറ്റിപ്പുറത്തുനിന്ന് പിടികൂടിയത്.ദീർഘ കാലമായി പോലീസിനെ വെട്ടിച്ച് വിവിധ ഇടങ്ങളിൽ ഒളിച്ചുതാമസിച്ചിരുന്ന പ്രതിയെ പിടികൂടാൻ പ്രത്യേക അന്വേഷണ സംഘം സജീവമായി രംഗത്തിറങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.

2020 മുതൽ പലവട്ടങ്ങളായി കുട്ടിയെ ലൈംഗികമായി പീഡിപ്പിച്ചെന്ന പരാതിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് 2021ൽ പോക്‌സോ നിയമപ്രകാരം ഇയാൾക്കെതിരെ കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തത്. തുടക്കത്തിൽ അറസ്റ്റിലായി റിമാൻഡിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്ന രതീഷ് പിന്നീട് ജാമ്യത്തിലിറങ്ങി നാടുവിടുകയായിരുന്നു. ഇതോടെ ഇയാളെ പിടികിട്ടാപ്പുള്ളിയായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച പോലീസ്, കാസർകോട് പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിലെ മറ്റൊരു കേസിലുമുള്ള പ്രതിയെന്ന നിലയിൽ ഇയാളെ തേടി വ്യാപക അന്വേഷണം നടത്തിവരികയായിരുന്നു.

കേസിന്റെ ഗൗരവം കണക്കിലെടുത്ത് കാസർകോട് വനിതാ പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷൻ എസ്‌ഐ അജിത കെയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ പ്രത്യേക സംഘം രൂപീകരിച്ചു. സൈബർ സെല്ലിന്റെ സഹായത്തോടെ നടത്തിയ നിരന്തര നിരീക്ഷണങ്ങളാണ് അന്വേഷണത്തിന് വഴിത്തിരിവായത്. രതീഷ് മലപ്പുറം കുറ്റിപ്പുറത്ത് ഒളിവിൽ കഴിയുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന രഹസ്യവിവരം ലഭിച്ചതോടെ തിരൂർ ഡാൻസഫ് സംഘത്തെയും ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തി കൃത്യമായ പദ്ധതിയോടെ പോലീസ് നീങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു. ഒളിത്താവളം വളഞ്ഞ സംഘം പ്രതിയെ കീഴടക്കി പിടികൂടിയതോടെയാണ് മൂന്ന് വർഷത്തെ വേട്ട അവസാനിച്ചത്.

എസ്‌ഐ അജിത കെയോടൊപ്പം രാജേഷ് എൻ, ദീപക്, ശ്രുതി, ഷജീഷ് ജെ, സൂരജ് എന്നിവരാണ് അന്വേഷണ സംഘത്തിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. കുട്ടികൾക്കെതിരെയുള്ള ലൈംഗിക അതിക്രമങ്ങൾ ഒരിക്കലും വച്ചുപൊറുപ്പിക്കില്ലെന്ന കർശന നിലപാടാണ് പോലീസ് ആവർത്തിച്ച് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നത്. നീണ്ട കാത്തിരിപ്പിനൊടുവിൽ പ്രതി പിടിയിലായതോടെ ഇരയായ കുട്ടിക്കും കുടുംബത്തിനും നീതി ലഭിക്കുമെന്ന വലിയ ആശ്വാസമാണുള്ളത് .പിടിയിലായ പ്രതിയെ കാസർകോട്ടെത്തിച്ച് കോടതിയിൽ ഹാജരാക്കി വീണ്ടും റിമാൻഡ് ചെയ്തതായി പോലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു

The three-year-long period of absconding by a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl has come to an end with his arrest by the Kasaragod Women Police. The accused, Ratheesh (42), a native of Nellikunnu Kadappuram, was arrested from Kuttippuram in Malappuram district following a focused and sustained investigation.

The case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in 2021, based on complaints that the accused had repeatedly sexually abused a minor from 2020 onwards. He was later declared absconding and was also wanted in another case registered at the Kasaragod police station.

Considering the gravity of the offence, a special investigation team was formed under the leadership of Kasaragod Women Police Station Sub-Inspector Ajitha K. With the assistance of the cyber cell, the police tracked the accused’s movements over an extended period. Acting on a crucial tip-off that he was hiding in Kuttippuram, the team coordinated with the Tirur DANSAF unit and successfully apprehended him after surrounding his hideout.

The arrest was carried out by a team comprising SI Ajitha K, Rajesh N, Deepak, Shruthi, Shajeesh J, and Sooraj. Police officials reiterated their zero-tolerance stance on crimes against children and stated that no offender would be allowed to escape the law, regardless of how long they remain in hiding. The accused has been brought to Kasaragod and remanded to judicial custody, bringing a sense of relief to the victim and her family and reinforcing public confidence in the justice system.
