കാസർകോട് : ചെറുവത്തൂരിലെ റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷൻ റോഡിൽ ദേശീയപാത വികസനവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ ഉന്നയിച്ച് കർമസമിതി നിർമ്മിച്ചിരുന്ന സമരപ്പന്തൽ ബുധനാഴ്ച ഉച്ചയോടെ പൊലീസ് പൊളിച്ചുനീക്കി. സമരക്കാർ പന്തലിൽ നിന്നും വിട്ടുനിന്ന സമയത്താണ് പൊലീസ് നടപടി എടുത്തത്.

അടിപ്പാതയുടെ വീതി കൂട്ടി പുനർനിർമിക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യവുമായി കർമസമിതി കഴിഞ്ഞ 15 ദിവസമായി സമരം തുടരുകയാണ്. എന്നാൽ പന്തൽ നീക്കം ചെയ്ത പൊലീസ് നടപടിയെ സമരത്തെ തകർക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമമെന്നാണ് പ്രവർത്തകരുടെ പ്രതികരണം. സംഭവം അറിഞ്ഞ് കൂടുതൽ പേർ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തിയതോടെ പ്രദേശത്ത് ചെറിയ തോതിൽ സംഘർഷാവസ്ഥയും അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടു. തുടർന്ന് അധിക പൊലീസ് സാന്നിധ്യവും ഉറപ്പാക്കി.

പന്തൽ പൊളിച്ചതിനെതിരെ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച സമരക്കാർ വൈകുന്നേരത്തോടെ വീണ്ടും പന്തൽ പണിതുയർത്തി. സമരം കൂടുതല്‍ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്താനാണ് കർമസമിതിയുടെ തീരുമാനം. സമാധാനപരമായ സമരത്തോട് പൊലീസ് തടസ്സം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചുവെന്നാണ് അവരുടെ ആരോപണം.

ഡിസംബർ ഒന്നുമുതൽ റിലേ നിരാഹാരം ആരംഭിക്കുമെന്ന് കർമസമിതി അറിയിച്ചു. അടിപ്പാതയുടെ വീതി കൂട്ടി വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ പരിഹരിക്കുന്നതുവരെ സമരം തുടരുമെന്നാണ് കർമസമിതി വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നത്.
