By കാസർകോട്: തലപ്പാടി ആർ.ടി.ഒ. ചെക്ക് പോസ്റ്റിന് സമീപം ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച പുലർച്ചെയുണ്ടായ വാഹനാപകടം വൻ മയക്കുമരുന്ന് വേട്ടയിലേക്ക് വഴിമാറി. നിർത്തിയിട്ടിരുന്ന ടാങ്കർ ലോറിക്ക് പിന്നിൽ കാർ ഇടിച്ചു കയറിയുണ്ടായ അപകടത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയിലാണ് ഉള്ളാൾ പോലീസ് കാറിനുള്ളിൽ നിന്ന് 78 ഗ്രാം എം.ഡി.എം.എ. കണ്ടെടുത്തത്. അപകടത്തിൽ ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റ ഉപ്പള മണിമുണ്ട സ്വദേശി മംഗളൂരുവിലെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിത്സയിലാണ്. അതേസമയം, അപകടം നടന്ന ഉടൻ കാറിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഒരാൾ ഓടി രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത് സംഭവത്തിന് പിന്നിലെ ദുരൂഹത വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
മംഗളൂരു ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നും ഉപ്പളയിലേക്ക് വരികയായിരുന്ന സ്വിഫ്റ്റ് കാറാണ് പുലർച്ചെയോടെ റോഡരികിൽ നിർത്തിയിട്ടിരുന്ന ടാങ്കർ ലോറിയുടെ പിന്നിലേക്ക് അതിവേഗതയിൽ ഇടിച്ചു കയറിയത്. ഇടിയുടെ ആഘാതത്തിൽ കാറിന്റെ മുൻഭാഗം പൂർണ്ണമായും തകർന്നു. നാട്ടുകാർ ഓടിക്കൂടി പരിക്കേറ്റയാളെ ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് കാറിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന രണ്ടാമൻ രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത്. സംശയം തോന്നിയ പോലീസ് വാഹനം വിശദമായി പരിശോധിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് സീറ്റിനടിയിൽ ഒളിപ്പിച്ച നിലയിൽ മാരക ലഹരിമരുന്നായ എം.ഡി.എം.എ. കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. ഇതോടെ ഇതൊരു സാധാരണ റോഡപകടമല്ലെന്നും ലഹരിക്കടത്തിനിടെ സംഭവിച്ച ദുരന്തമാണെന്നുമുള്ള നിഗമനത്തിലാണ് പോലീസ്.
